Popularity of TV Documentaries - TV Documentaries are surging in popularity thanks to things such as streaming services making their availability much higher as there are more in circulation due to their cheaper production time and value. The desire for true stories has increased in a world consumed by fictional content. There is a diverse age range within the audience of documentaries, these show in content preferences as younger audiences prefer fast-pacing and trending topics unlike an older audience who like slower, historic and nature content. Statement of Intent
For my posters, I will make definite that there is no material which can breach the rules set by the ASA. I will make sure that my posters do not contain graphic or violent content to ensure that there is no fear or distress felt from my posters. The reason this is a main priority as should the posters be advertised on billboards and within densely populated areas, it could very well be seen by young people in particular children, which could therefore lead to backlash and upset. My documentary is suitable for before the watershed as it’s based around non-league football so it can be viewed by all ages. For my documentary to be interesting for an audience, there must be a portrayal of not just the positives but the negatives also. I intend for the full portrayal of non-league, not just the players perspective but the manager also.
